Abstrak

Considering that the availability of the fossils energy is limited, humans have to find for an alternative energy to reduce of using fossils energy. Energy harvesting is one solution to produce alternative energy that can be used for low power equipment. This research discusses of using piezoelectric as a transducer for the energy harvesting application in noisy spaces. Total 24 piezoelectrics are connected in series circuit. Noisy sound is generated from  winder machine in a yarn spinning mill, with sound frequency of 250 Hz. Piezoelectric array is placed on oscillator cantilver beam that is made from nylon with the length of the beam is refer to noise frequency produced by winder machine. Six oscillators are made and each oscillator containing four piezoelectrics. The output voltage of piezoelectric multiplied and rectified using a voltage doubler circuit. The system tested at the factory mills with sound pressure level measured is 95,8 dBA. Piezoelectric array is capable to produce signals with highest amplitudes of 3,32 Vpp with a frequency of 50,42 Hz. Voltage is recorded using a voltage logger. Output DC voltage varies with the highest voltage of 1 Volt DC and current 0,45 mA.
