Post-Publication Discussion

Jurnal Teknik : Media Pengembangan Ilmu dan Aplikasi Teknik welcomes scholarly discussion of published articles, as it supports the self-correcting nature of science.

Letters to the Editor. Readers may submit comments, critiques, or questions about a published article as a Letter to the Editor through the journal's online submission system. A letter should:

  • Refer to the article by title and DOI;
  • Be submitted within 12 months of the article's publication;
  • Be no longer than 1,000 words and 10 references;
  • Focus on scientific content, be respectful, and avoid personal remarks.

Process. The editors assess each letter for relevance and scientific merit and may send it for review. If a letter is accepted, the authors of the original article are invited to write a reply. The letter and the reply are published together in the same issue and linked to the original article.

Other channels. Readers can also contact the corresponding author directly using the email address on the published article. Discussion on external platforms (e.g., PubPeer, ResearchGate) is acknowledged; the editors may act on concerns raised there.

Escalation. If a discussion reveals errors or possible misconduct, it will be handled under the Correction and Retraction policy or the Allegations of Research Misconduct policy.
